Love's Labour's Lost
I just booked a ticket to Love's Labour's Lost! Sadly not the RSC version up in Stratford, but instead one in Kingston that looks to be an interesting experience - I'll be sitting on a cushion in the pit!
Hoping to get round to phoning the RSC soon and trying to grab some of their wonderful £5 tickets for 16-25 year olds. With any luck will be seeing A Midsummer Night's Dream (again, but I loved the direction for Hamlet and want to see how Doran handles Midsummer), The Taming of the Shrew and hopefully The Tempest when it comes on tour to Richmond. Add to that Othello (a course requirement!) in Hammersmith next week, and plans to see Twelfth Night (yes, another I've already seen, but with Derek Jacobi as Malvolio I can't say no), and it's a happily Shakespearean few months ahead.
In other theatre news, I've also booked to see Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan take on Waiting for Godot next year. Can't wait!
