1, 2, 3...

Simon tagged me in a meme a couple of weeks ago now, but this is the first time I’ve actually remembered to have a book to hand when sitting on the computers (basically, I can’t be arsed to go up four floors and grab one).

“To participate, you grab any book, go to page 123, find the fifth sentence, and blog it. Then tag five people.”

When Simon was tagged, he was specified a sci-fi book. However, Pete did both a sci-fi and a ‘regular’ book. And as the only sci-fi book I actually own is by Mr. Guerrier himself, I felt it was rather apt.

“Now this ship is always going round and round in circles, isn’t it?”
Simon Guerrier, The Pirate Loop.

And as I’m still ploughing my way through it at every available opportunity,

“Now, according to my idea of Mrs. Churchill, it would be most natural, that while she makes no sacrifice for the comfort of the husband, to whom she owes every thing, while she exercises incessant caprice towards him, she should frequently be governed by the nephew, to whom she owes nothing at all.”
Jane Austen, Emma.

I tag my fellow book nerds Amanda, Amy and Aneeta, as well as Jess and Eric.
